SAFE Banking Act Passes House in Defense Legislation

The House of Representatives has passed by voice vote an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) by adding the Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) Banking Act to the legislation.  The bill would give safe harbors to financial institutions servicing cannabis industry stakeholders.
